Other interested agency staff, volunteers and visitors are invited to register and attend all sessions.
The traditional 3 class Extrication Challenge (EC) is the mainstay of the Australasian Rescue Challenge and is offered again to participants in 2017.
This series of Challenges is designed for a 6-person rescue team, including a Team Leader/OIC and medical specialist.
The 3 classes all vary slightly in objective and opportunity to demonstrate skills.
For more details on the classes and their objectives, please login to the ARRO website and download a copy of the rules.
The Trauma Challenge (TC) continues is a staple part of the programme.
This 2-person 15 minute event is designed to hone the medical skills of team members. Teams will be assessed based on the level of medical skill they bring to the challenge, so its a perfect opportunity for everyone from first aiders to advanced care paramedics to demonstrate best practice at their level.
Every 6-person EC team that registers automatically has one pair of their team entered in the TC.
